Boards

This page should provide information about different boards/public advisory commissions.  Likely, the best thing to do will be to provide general information and suggestions for individuals who want to move local government in a libertarian directionon on how to use boards, either by getting appointed themselves or by influencing appointees.   Rather than maintaining our own list of boards, site maintenance and accuracy will best be served by providing links to websites the county and cities provide listing boards and commissions.

Cape Girardeau County Advisory Boards
http://www.capecounty.us/Advisory%20Boards.aspx

At the Cape County website, there is a tab at the top which links to a listing of 19 advisory boards.  Each of them can be clicked on to find more information, usually a listing of the board members.  Sometimes you'll find a short statement about the purpose of the board and the amount of money they spend.

This is from the http://www.capecounty.us/ website:
10/7/2013 - We currently have openings on the following boards:
(1) Openings on the Cape County Sewer District 1
 (5) Openings on the Road & Bridge Advisory- Hubble Township, At Large Position, Shawnee Township, Cape Township, Liberty Township
(7) Stormwater Advisory Committee
Citizens interested in serving on these boards should submit a letter to the County Commissioner’s office.  For more information, please call (573)-243-1052.

The Libertarian Party

The Libertarian Party is America's third largest political party, founded in 1971. Our vision is for a world in which all individuals can freely exercise the natural right of sole dominion over their own lives, liberty and property by building a political party that elects Libertarians to public office, and moving public policy in a libertarian direction.
